oh, snap?

i do believe that i am the only human in this country who is capable of hearing, who has not heard this "laffy taffy" joint yet.  everyone rants about it, hatred dripping from their bared fangs, meanwhile i'm left wondering "wtf?"

wow, between the nano and npr, i really do live on my own planet of sound.

I heard about the "laffy taffy" like about a month ago. I was in the car with my friend and the radio was on... and she had a err "bitch fit" it wasn't pretty, plus she has roadrage.
It's apparently this degrading song about woman shaking it and blah blah blah... I actually find it funny :|
What are you listening to as of lately?
where's the "what my inner dj is spinning?" :/
I like that part of zee blog.
Lots of love

it stinks, youre not missing much!!

yea, it's pretty bad ... you must be going out to better clubs than I am if you haven't heard it ;) (Dallas = all hip hop, all the time)

But how is it any worse than that Tootsie Roll song from about 10 years ago ? ;)

Andrea, you are so right, Tootsie Roll is a great comparison as far as the lyrics go.

Anna, you are a lucky girl. Someday you may hear the tune, make fun of it for 10 min. straight because the notes sound like they belong in a weird x-rated circus and then 2 hours later you may find yourself uttering the words "laffy taffy, shake dat laffy taffy" over and over in a pleading manner because you just want them to tire themselves out of your mind and out of your life.

omg, that is the WORST song. i HATE it. it's under my list along with the BEP's "My humps". Dont worry, Anna, if you haven't heard it yet you haven't missed a thing. i'd actually be grateful if i never heard it.

Addendum to my above comment: I'm no Miami Bass fan, but at least Tootsie Roll was marketed AS a dance song (to the left, to the left, now dip baby dip) ... and i kinda think it was clever. Now no more dipping or sliding is going on, just shaking... laffy taffy, at that. sad state of affairs.

And they are BOTH stuck in my head at alternate intervals.

1 2 3 4 lemme see dat tootsie ROLL!

shake dat laffeh taffeh, dat laffeh taffeh...

GRRR... thank you anna. how can i clean out this earworm??

the song SUCKS. it SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS.

It sucks.

Given that I normally don't give a crap about lyrics, unless there is a lady in the car with me, I thought the beat was catchy. But damn, I had no clue that so many people hated it, next time it plays, I am acctually gonna listen to the lyrics.

On a different note, ANNA, what happened to the 50's fridays girl? I know you are busy 'n all, but when you get a chance...

It's so dumb, it's funny.

Great...now I have "Tootsie Roll" in my head. Thanks, Andrea.
